In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, the May beer of the month should probably be narrowed down to import beers from our good friends down south. So with that, nominations for May are now open.
And please, when you nominate, create a new post and possibly add a picture...you know, for an enhanced viewer experience.
Jesus...blogging is turning me into a nazi.

And if you have a nomination for a great tequila, we'll take that too.
I thought I would share some information about a good find I had at Hastings Bookstore/Video Rental.
I go and check out the magazine racks and a somewhat regular basis, probably weekly. I mostly look at the health/fitness/lifting/MMA magazine, but one of the magazines happen to be in the wrong spot. Next a Maxim (you have to at least look at Maxim if its there) was the All About Beer magazine. The first thing that came to my mind was the new blog. So, I checked it out. The first thing I see is the list of 125 places to drink a beer before you die (creative). In the top 25 there was at least 2 in Denver, maybe 3. The number one being The Great American Beer Festival. Man, I wish I could have made one of those.
Well, I thought you would all like to know that.
I'm drinking my desert tonight and on the back of the label is Fact #4: "It's well known that Newcastle Brown Ale is full of flavour (-our because of those bloody brits) and remarkably smooth. What's less well known is that the birthplace of this legendary English beer owes its name to William the Conquerror's son Robert, builder of the 'New Castle' of 1080. A suitably royal heritage for our great tasting beer. And good reason to carry the city's name proudly on our label."
speaking of castle builder, have you guys seen the videos on youtube about the man made castle in Colorado and the nut job who built it?
Nick Branting and his buddies recorded that video.
yep, he emailed me the link a while back...Funny!
