Beer of the Season

Brown Ale - as the season changes and the leaves began to change and the temperature begins to drop, it is time for seasonal change in beer as well. This recommendation is not from own thoughts, but from the thoughts of Beer the magazine (www.thebeermag.com). The brown ale will make a great addition to a fall night BBQ or while feasting on venison (meat of any animal killed by hunting).

Best Brown Ale choices?

Congrats "Sweet George's Brown" Ale from Dillon DAM Brewing Company on their Silver Medal in the 2008 World Beer Cup. Beer of the Month?

And it's made in close proximity to the North Platte HS 1999 spring break mansion, sponsored in part by Detco and uneventful teen antics. Seems like a great beer of the month.
I don't know what it is about brown ales but I've never been a fan; sort of a bastard child between a normal lager and a hippie porter.
Dundee's seems to be popular with the kids.
Samuel Smith's makes a few popular brown's, but again, a little patchouli.

RealNP, I think you need to write an expose about the Dillon Damn Brewery and the World War II vets that frequent the place...telling great stories and making fun of eachother. What a time.

You were with me that time right?

I agree, they always seem to be a little of a let-down--a little flat, maybe a bit too sweet. But still a better beer of the month than Zima. But I'll wait for b to make it official.

Yes, I was there; but it seems that I remember about as much as you do.
