I came across an article that said MillerCoors is planning on packaging beer in a box. It is something of a home draft system that can sit in your fridge and keep beer fresh for 30 days. To me this if very reminiscent of the "party ball" of years past.
For you recycling people out there this could be a great environmentally friendly alternative to cans or bottles. I don't think the recycling angle will be how they market it but it seems resonable to me. They did mention this little jem, "The price per ounce is roughly 15% higher than for an 18-pack of the same beer, MillerCoors said." I don't really see how this is going to work out.
So B&B bloggers would you ever consider a box a viable container of beer?

Where do I buy Pittsburgh Steeler Bud Light cans the size of mini kegs??
Are frat guys now going to be walking around parties with their shirts off slinging spacebags of beer? If I'm going to drink from hobo-building material, it'd better be California Red.
I do however want to shake a bag up and drop it off the Hershey interchange bridge.
New Castle...definitely. Miller Light, never. However, If I had a kegerator at my house, I'd never get one of these things. But since I don't, I'd definitely get one, invite the frat brothers over and chug some beers while jizzing on toast.
the manufacturing cost of just the tap alone is probably the main cause of the price hike. And if it takes you 30 days to drink the beer in your fridge, you need a stern talking to. Maybe it's time you switched to wine coolers.
Or Zima.
