I thinks it's only right that a blog all about beer/booze, suggests a beer and drink of the month. So with that, nominations are now open for the beer AND booze of April.
To nominate, write one paragraph about why everyone should try the drink you're nominating. It doesn't have to be based on taste, either. You may have tried Absinthe and you think everyone should experience their brain temporarily turning to mush. Or maybe you tried a particular beer at a particular pub with a particularly top-heavy waitress...so your nomination would be driven by wanting every one to see.
You nomination logic is completely up to you.
After all the nominations are received, we'll post all the paragraphs and have a vote. The winner will be the beer/booze of the month.
You're right, it's too much work.
Deal with it.

Coors Light or Bud Light?
I would like to hear which beer everyone commonly chooses when ordering from the domestics menu, and why. I titled the post as such, because these are the two most popular flavors that people choose. I always go back and forth between these two for numerous reasons, the reasons aren't always associated with taste. So, let me/us know which one and why.
Domestics like:
Coors Light
Bud Light
Miller Lite
Busch Light
Keystone Light
Coors
Bud
etc...

Fruit beers: Girly or Tasty?
I recently brewed a raspberry hefeweizen under the premise that it was for the wife. I have always gone the way of dark flavorful beers are manly while the fruity shit is for girls. Lately though I have been really enjoying the raspberry brew, which makes me feel like I am selling out my manhood for a tasty treat. I do enjoy it but I would never order such a beer at a bar or anywhere in public.
Basically, I would like to think that I am now old and secure enough in my manhood to drink a fruity beer without any moral repercussions. However, being as I am writing this blog we should all be able to conjecture that the latter is not true. Just because a beer has fruit in it doesn't mean that it is Zima, Pucker, or whatever else B used to drink.

Now I find myself wondering if there is really ever a time in a man’s life that it is acceptable to openly enjoy a fruity beer. As I would guess most of you do not drink these beers, I would also say that most of you like the taste but will not readily admit to it. What is there to dislike about their taste? The refreshing flavor, the party in your mouth, or only the girly stereotype?

Welcome
Welcome to brewsnbooze.com. If there's two things we know how to do, it's drink and write. Hopefully that leads to insightful info on new brews and venues. We hope you enjoy reading it, because we're sure going to enjoy writing it.
